John Russell Higdon

A graveside service for John will be held Monday, February 6, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Mt. Olive Sovereign Grace Baptist Church, 36060 AL 17, Millport, AL 35576.

John is preceded in death by his parents Rayford and Virginia (Bryant) Higdon. Paternal Grandparents Doll and Onnie Higdon and Maternal Grandparents, Aaron and Wornie Bryant.

He is survived by his daughters, Brittany Trenter (Chad) of Brookwood, AL, Holly Higdon of Maplesville, AL and son, Bradley Carter (Destiny) of Clanton, AL. Sisters, Pamela Jones (Jon), and Gina Lewis (Eric), of Cottondale, AL. Brother, Kenneth Higdon (Lynne), of Foley, AL.

Over the years, John has worked as a Dairy Farm Foreman for Hidden Valley Dairy Farm, a forklift operator for BLG Logistics and most recently, as a Hot Parts Delivery Driver for Schnellecke.

John loved banana pudding, country music and Monster Truck matches. He enjoyed primitive camping outdoors with the kids.

In his spare time, John enjoyed old cars and was always tinkering on cars, boats, and motors. He had multiple projects he was working on which earned him the nickname - Johnny Bang.

Pallbearers are Bradley Carter, Kenneth Higdon, Jon Jones, and Earl Shaw.
