On Friday, February 24, 2023, James Randell Roper, loving son and father of two children, passed away at the age of 42.
James was born on May 2, 1980 in Atlanta, Georgia to Mike and Jackie Roper. Upon graduating from Asbrook High School, James continued his studies at Southwest Florida College, where he received his Associates degree as a surgical technician. James loved the outdoors, he enjoyed camping in the Smokey Mountains of Tennessee and Blue Ridge Mountains in North Carolina.
James was preceded in death by his grandparents; James Haygood and Cora Haygood Bryant, Frank and Mattie Ruth Roper.
He is survived by his parents, Jackie and Mike Roper, his two children Orion and Neala, his sister Windi and his niece; Madison and nephew Mason; along with other relatives.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, March 1, 2023 at 2PM at Memory Chapel Funeral home, 2200 Skyland Blvd. East , Tuscaloosa Alabama 35405.
