James Paul Clements

DUNCANVILLE - J. Paul Clements, 76, of Duncanville, AL passed away June 27, 2023, at Hospice of West Alabama. Graveside services will be held at Memory Hill Gardens at 10 AM on June 30, 2023, officiated by Ken Swindle. Paul graduated from Tuscaloosa County High School in 1965. In 1970, he went to work for the Tuscaloosa Police Dept., retiring in 1995. In 1970, he went to work at Gayfer’s/ Dillards. His final place of employment was PARA, retiring in 2019. All of his grandchildren were special to him. His favorite pastime was playing cards, parpheesi, and dominoes. Paul is preceded in death by his son, Jeremy Clements; parents, A.B. and Lizzie Clements; sister, Carolyn Smith; brother, Frank Clements. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Shelia Clements; Sons, Kevin Clements and Chris Clements (Cherrie); sisters, Betty Warren, and Glenda Sweigart (Barry); special sister-n-laws, Sharon Montgomery and Patsy Thompson; grandchildren, Shannon Shadden, Kevin Clements Jr., Meygan Clements, Katherine Clements, and Harper Clements. Honorary pallbearers will be Hospice of West Alabama, Tuscaloosa Police Dept., PARA, Thomas and Janet Rester, Ken and Jill Swindle, Don and Trish Delaney, Larry Holloway, Garland Sellers, Doug Taylor, Andy Poole, and Joe Lee.
