Ellie S Dockery

Ellie Smith Dockery, age 87, of Duncanville, AL, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on May 3, 2017. Services will be Monday, May 8, 2017 at 11 AM at Duncanville Baptist Church with Bro. Ray Hallman officiating and Memory Chapel directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in the Shiloh Methodist Cemetery.

She was preceded in death by her husband Homer F. Dockery Sr.

Survivors include children Betty Stone (Harry), Kay Free (Johnny), Homer Dockery Jr. and Paul Dockery (Joan). Nine grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren; sisters Aruizina Powell, Martha Powell, Estell Ratcliff, and brother Manley Smith; numerous nieces and nephews.

She was a daughter, sister, wife, Mother, Granny and friend but most importantly she was a Christian. She treated everyone with the love of Jesus because she wanted everyone to know that Jesus loves them. She was the true picture of the Proverbs 31 woman.

Pallbearers will be Grandsons and Great Grandsons.

Honorary pallbearers are Teresa Rice, Duncanville and Hagler communities, Hammrick Highlands, Domino ladies, Maxwell Elementary and GFC Construction.
