She is preceded in death by her husband, J.O. Colburn and husband, Wayne Watts; children, Bo Colburn, Donnie Colburn, Rebecca Meaney, Sharon Herring, and Patty Wilson.
She is survived by her son, Bill Colburn; 16 grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren.
Dixie was a beautician, nurse, homemaker, owner/cook of Mama's Kitchen, and ran Meaney's Garden Center. But mostly loved to work in her yard. She was loved by her grand and great-grand children.
Pallbearers are Corey Meaney, Austin Meaney, Michael Meaney, Trip Smithson, Jake Smithson, and Chris Barger.
In lieu of flowers, the family would requests donations to be made to Oasis Home Health Care.
A graveside service for Dixie will be held Sunday, January 14, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Brent Memorial Cemetery, 98 Middlebrooks St., Brent, AL.
