Dalton Averette

Dalton Averette "Our Big D", age 19, of Tuscaloosa, Alabama passed away on Thursday, February 22, 2024. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2 PM on Monday, March 4, 2024 at Memory Chapel Funeral Home with Bro. Ray Hallman officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, March 3, 2024, from 6 PM- 8 PM at Memory Chapel Funeral Home.

Dalton was preceded in death by his sister, Lisa Averette; grandparents, Juanita Hendrix Averette, Elvester Averette, and Ruby Rebecca Harrison; uncle, Tim Averette; nephew, Judson Averette.

He is survived by his sister, Kaci Burroughs (Allen); brother, TJ Averette; parents, Leeann and Tommy Averette; niece, Ashlyn, nephews, Landen, Toby, and Hayden Averette; aunt and uncles, Krystal Herndon, Tabatha Beard (Brandon), Temekia Beard (Steven), David Averette (Athena), Andy and Tabatha Averette, Terrell and Joanne Averette, Olen (Duck) Averette, Telisa Weaver, Traci and Marshall Clackley, Ivana Flood, Bubba and Katherine Epperson.

Dalton was a beloved brother, son, cousin, nephew, and friend. He was full of life and love. He loved hunting, fishing, and being outdoors with his family and friends having a good time. A good-hearted country boy is how his mama always described him. He always had a smile on his face and a happy attitude. He loved his family and never met a stranger. He was reliable and someone you could always depend on. If you called and needed him, he came without hesitation, no matter the need. His sissy, Kaci, was his best friend and he was so excited when he found out she was pregnant. He was looking forward to meeting his sweet niece in July and being an amazing "Uncle D".

Pallbearers will be Hayden Averette, Landen Averette, Toby Averette, John Burroughs, Micah Burroughs and Russell Epperson.

Honorary pallbearers are Jackie Houston, friends and coworkers: Amy Burroughs, Chris Otts, William Battles, Tracy Stephens, Eddy Broughton. Employees and friends of Advanced Medical Billing and Clinic for Rheumatic Diseases, and the friends and family of the Hargrove Road Community.
