NORTHPORT – Carolyn Marler Lee, age 81, of Northport, Ala., died March 3, 2018, at DCH Regional Medical Center. Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 7, 2018, at Memory Chapel Funeral Home with Dr. Dennis Lee officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Gardens with Memory Chapel Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles "Joe" Lee; father, John H. Marler; mother, Nedra Marler; sister-in-law, Geneva Lee; father-in-law, Lester Lee and mother-in-law, Wilma Lee.
Survivors include her daughter, Lydia Lee Fields (Ray) of Tuscaloosa, Ala.; sons, James Dennis Lee (Pat) of Guntersville, Ala. and Joel Frank Lee of Echola, Ala.; sister, Bonnie Junkin (Gerald); brother, Jack Marler (Brenda); brother-in-law, William Frank Lee; niece, Jennifer Syx (Shawn); great-nephews, Daniel and David Syx; grandchildren, Joseph Clifton Lee, Kathryn Lee Corley, Alan Foster Lee and Lesley Anne Fields; and great-grandchild, Josie Brooke Lee.
Carolyn Lee was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her career at the Alabama Mental Health Credit Union spanned over 30 years where she retired as Vice President. She loved music, reading, going to the beach and spending as much time with her grandchildren as possible.
Pallbearers will be Dennis Lee, Frank Lee, Alan Lee, Joseph Lee, Ray Fields and Hunter Powell.
Honorary pallbearers are staff of the Alabama Mental Health Credit Union, Northport DaVita Dialysis, and members of Bethlehem Primitive Baptist Church, Rick Gibson, Laura Gregory and friends of Shirley Farms.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to one's favorite charity.
