A visitation for Bonnie will be held Saturday, December 10, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Memory Chapel Funeral Home, 2200 Skyland Blvd East, Tuscaloosa, Alabama 35405. Following the visitation will be a graveside service at 2:00 PM at Memory Hill Gardens, 2200 Skyland Blvd E, Tuscaloosa, Alabama 35405.
Bonnie L. Anderson was preceded in death by her parents, George Clarence Loper and Myrtie Loper; and husband James C. Anderson "JC".
She is survived by her son, Bryant Anderson; sister, Patsy Cauley; grandchildren; Melanie L. Quick, Jessica M. O'Brien; great-grandchildren, Ander O'Brien & Kolton O'Brien.
Bonnie Lorene Anderson was born on June 26, 1933 in Loper Alabama to Clarence Loper and Mytrie Loper. She has one sister Patsy Cauley. She passed from this life to life eternal on December 5, 2022 following a brief stay in Heritage Health Care. She lived in Loper, Alabama until she was 7 years old and moved to Millry, Alabama where she lived for 11 years where she graduated from Millry High School in 1951. She went to college at Livingston, Alabama. She graduated in 1955 with a degree in education. She went on to teach for 33 years at Atalla, Alabama, Sweetwater, Alabama, DOD school in the country of Cuba, Citronelle, Alabama, and Akron Alabama before she retired in 1993. She married James C. Anderson Jr. in 1957. James C. Anderson Jr. was in the Navy at the time of their marriage and she lived in Boston, MA, Cuba, Norfolk VA, Citronelle AL, Greensboro AL, and finally Tuscaloosa AL over the next 65 years. In 1991 she lost her life long love James C. Anderson Jr. She was an active member of 1st Baptist Church of Tuscaloosa. She dearly loved her family and enjoyed all Alabama sports especially football, gymnastics and softball.
Pallbearers are: Kory O'Brien, Matt Quick, Michael Cauley, Cameron Cauley, Ricky House, and Earnest House.
Honorary pallbearers are: Carl Cauley, Larry Faith, Lyman Faith, David Cauley, Steven Cauley, and Mitch Anderson.
In lieu of flowers, make donations to West Alabama Hospice.
