Billy Darin Crain Sr.

He is preceded in death by his son, Billy Darin Crain, Jr.; his mother, Ailene Chapman; his father, Billy Ray Crain; his step-father, William "Bill" Chapman

He is survived by his spouse, Annette Crain; his daughter, Lauren Crain; his sister, Tanci Crain.

Darin was a loving, kind, and generous father, husband and friend, who always made those around him laugh. He was all of these things despite having lost his son, little Darin. He was a longtime employee of Alfa Insurance. With Alfa, he made the Hall of Fame and was Agent of the Year in 2006. He was able to travel the world with his wife and daughter, where he enjoyed seeing history and talking to new people. He was very close to his family, specifically his first cousins, his sister, and his nephews. He was a graduate of Brookwood High School Class of 1984. Darin will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Pallbearers are Barry Webber, Mark Quilliams, Lynn Webber, Mike Webber, Byron Shirley, and John Davis.

Honorary pallbearers are Doctors and staff at DCH MICU; employees at Alfa Insurance; employees at Vowell's; Robert Green; Angie Quilliams; Cindy Bohon; his first cousins.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

A visitation for Billy will be held Monday, June 5, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Memory Chapel Funeral Home, 2200 Skyland Blvd East, Tuscaloosa, Alabama 35405 with a funeral service to follow at 2:00 PM. Following the funeral service will be a committal service in the adjoining cemetery.
