Betty Ann Smith Chambers, age 90, of Tuscaloosa, AL, passed away July 3, 2022. A memorial service will be 1:30 p.m. July 7th, 2022, at Calvary Baptist Church with Reverend Timothy Plant, and Reverend Douglas Fulton officiating and Memory Chapel Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 1:30 p.m. prior to services at the church.
Betty Ann was preceded in death by her husband Harper C Chambers, her sister Mary Alice Cleveland, her parents, Mary Edwards Smith, and Guy Wilburn Smith.

Betty Ann was born October 28th, 1931, in Akron, AL, and graduated from the University of Alabama in 1952.
For over 60 years, Betty Ann was an active member of Calvary Baptist Church where she served her church through many different avenues. She served as a Sunday School teacher, and on numerous committees. Her church family was an important part of who she was. Betty Ann loved her Savior and demonstrated this through her actions toward others.
Pallbearers will be her grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Honorary pallbearers will be all past and present employees of Harper Chambers Lumber Co, Joyce Blackburn, Peggy White, Elizabeth McLeod, Dot Burns, Doss Cleveland, Bob Cleveland, Ken Cleveland, Hattie Reed, the employees of Moundville Health and Rehabilitation, and the employees of Hospice of West Alabama.
