Belinda Lawrence Green

The family of Belinda Lawrence Green, 58, announces with great sorrow that she passed away on Sunday, March 13, 2022, at DCH Regional Hospital in Tuscaloosa, after an extended battle with breast cancer.

Belinda was born January 8, 1964, in Bessemer, AL to the late James Floyd Lawrence and Margaret Riley Lawrence. She grew up in Vance/Brookwood, Alabama where she attended Brookwood High School. Belinda loved the Lord and attended Fresh Anointing Church in Brookwood. Her faith remained strong and steadfast throughout her illness. Her greatest joy was raising her grandson Ivan Green and taking care of her dog Bama. She was loved dearly and will be sorely missed by her family and a multitude of friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son Marty Green and brother James Floyd Lawrence, Jr.

Mrs. Green is survived by her children, son Officer Jonathan (BJ) Lawrence, his wife Maeghan and their five children, a daughter Amber Wilder Cook and her son, as well as her grandson that she was raising Ivan Green; her husband Dale Green of Northport and his children: Eric Green, Tanya Boyd, Melissa (Andrew) Guernon, Joseph (Amanda) Green and their children; brother Jimmy Lawrence and his wife Sheila of Marietta, GA, their children Ashley Caylor and Adam Lawrence; step-brothers Steve Magner and Butch Monk; step-sister Liz Smith (James Allen) and their children.

A visitation is scheduled for Monday, March 21, 2022 beginning at 1:00pm at Memory Chapel. Funeral services will immediately follow at 2:00pm from the funeral home Chapel, with Rev. Johnny Lawrence officiating. Interment will follow at Memory Hill Gardens, Garden of the Cross, services are under the direction of Memory Chapel, a Dignity Memorial provider.

Serving as Active Palbearers will be: Adam Lawrence, Greg Lawrence, Tim Caylor, Jamie Haun, Jarrett Eagle and Allan Headwall.
