Anita Ann Hazelrigg

A visitation for Anita will be held Sunday, September 29, 2024, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Memory Chapel Funeral Home, 2200 Skyland Blvd East, Tuscaloosa, Alabama 35405. A celebration of life will follow on Sunday, September 29, 2024, at 2:00 PM, with Brother Bart Latner presiding. A committal service will be sequential on Sunday, September 29, 2024, at Memory Hill Gardens.

Preceding Anita in death is her father, Samuel D. Roberts.

Anita is survived by her daughter, Heather Hutchins (Jason); brother, Alan Roberts; mother, Doris Boland; and grandchildren, Noah Hutchins, Addison Hutchins, and Jackson Hutchins.

The pallbearers will be Jason Hutchins, Alan Roberts, Justin Toxey, Roy Sancez, and Jeremiah Tecpile.

Anita, born on Wednesday, February 16, 1966, defied all odds with her indomitable spirit and determination. Despite being diagnosed with cerebral palsy she persevered. She pursued her education, using a typewriter to complete her homework all the way through high school. She was married and welcomed her daughter, Heather, in to the world. Anita triumphed in her battle to witness the birth of her first grandson. Anita's story is a testament to incredible strength and the power of love.
