Graveside services will be held Saturday at 11:00 A.M at Tuscaloosa Memorial Park with Rev. Marlon D. Ellington presiding. Visitation will be Saturday from 10:00-10:30 at Heritage Chapel Funeral Home, with Heritage Chapel Funeral Home & Cremations, A Dignity Memorial Provider directing.
Addie is preceded in death by Homer W. Lake & Myrtle Sims Lake (parents), Rubye Lake Greene (sister), Glenn Lake, and Grady Lake (brothers), Fred Hoyt Hicks (husband).
She is survived by sons Jeff Hicks, Fairhope, AL, and Tim Hicks (Debra), Alabaster, Al; grandchildren Brannon Hicks (Ellen), Luke Hicks (Meghan), Timothy Hicks, Adam Hicks (Lindsay) and Maxwell Hicks; greatgrands Lucy & Mary Alice Hicks, Titus Hicks and Finnley Hicks.
Born in Tuscaloosa, AL and raised in Moundville, AL. Graduated from Hale County High School and enjoyed a career at South Central Bell Telephone company where she met her husband Fred Hicks, to whom she was married for 56 years. She retired upon the birth of her first son. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and Grammie to her grandsons and great grandsons. She was a dedicated Christian and member of Covenant Presbyterian (now Grace Presbyterian) for over 60 years.
