William is preceded in death by his father Walter W. Bray, his mother Marjorie L. Whiby, his sister Marjorie Walters, his brother Richard Bray and his grandson Dylan Leroy Bray. William was born in Klamath Falls Oregon, and his life will forever be cherished by his brothers Don Bray and George Simmons, his children William L. Bray JR, Robert A. Bray, James L. Bray, Melisa V. Wangelin, Clinton H. Wangelin, Michelle M. Miller, and Kenny L. Bray. He will also be forever missed by his twenty three grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews as well as his best friend Diego.
William was a Sergeant in the U.S. Army, where he became an expert Grenade launcher, expert rifleman, and received a medal for good conduct. William could bring light to the darkest of situations, and smiles to the saddest faces. William worked to give those around him a better life. He was thoughtful and selfless and was always there to lend a helping hand, he loved to make others laugh . William enjoyed fishing, pool, bowling, golfing, horseshoes, and many other activities that kept his children and grandchildren busy.
A service will be held for William Leroy Bray Sr. at 12:30 PM on Monday, August 20th, 2018 at San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery: 32053 West McCabe Road, Santa Nella, California 95322.
A reception will follow at the Moose Lodge in Turlock at 3 PM: 4713 W. Main St, Turlock, California 95380.
