It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Todd Christopher Hunter, who left us on January 5, 2025, at the age of 61. Todd was born on October 23, 1963, and throughout his life, he brought joy, laughter, and a sense of adventure to all who knew him.
Todd’s life was marked by a love of the simple pleasures that made each day special. He had a deep fondness for Disneyland, and Knott’s Berry Farm, places where he created many cherished memories with family and friends. A lifelong enthusiast of the outdoors, Todd found peace and joy in fishing, biking, and skateboarding, always with a sense of freedom and fun.
A true lover of animals, Todd raised pigeons with great care, and he found great joy in both the companionship of his feathered friends and the patience required in caring for them. His creativity extended to his artistic pursuits, including drawing beloved Disney characters, a hobby he held dear throughout his life.
Todd’s time spent in Hawaii was especially formative; he lived there for five years and embraced the island lifestyle, including his passion for surfing. He was always drawn to the beach, finding solace and inspiration in the sand and waves.
Todd’s professional life included his role as a sub foreman for H & H Painting, where he worked alongside his late Father Edward Theran Hunter Sr. with dedication and pride.
Though Todd’s life took him too many places – spending 20 years in Texas, 10 years in Southern California, and 26 years in Modesto – his heart always remained tied to the places and people he loved most.
Todd is remembered for his generous spirit, his zest for life, and his unwavering love for his family and friends. His memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate to know him.
He survived by his mother Joann Hunter, his son Christopher Hunter, his two daughters; Linen Waldrep and Chasity Hunter, his brother Edward Hunter his sister Rachel Castro, along with his grandchildren; Everett, Maddison, Charlotte, and Faith.
Todd was preceded in death by his father Edward Theran Hunter Sr., his maternal grandmother Cleffie Hopkins, and his brother-in-law David Castro.
Rest in peace, Todd. You will always be loved and never forgotten.
