Mary Fatima Nunes

Mary Fatima Nunes, age 85, of Gustine, California passed away at her home on Wednesday, December 8, 2021. Mary was born March 7, 1936 in Crusal, Sao Jorge, Acores to Maria Conceicao Azevedo and Antonio Sousa Luis.

Mary is survived by her three son's; Art Nunes (Amelia) of Atwater, Albert Nunes (Liz) of Hilmar, and John Nunes (Florie) of Gustine; her sister Theresa Xavier of Hilmar; Mary also leaves behind her eight granddaughters;

Megan Nunes Bertino (Michael), Alexa Nunes Madruga (Josh), Taylor Nunes, Isabella Nunes, Morgan Nunes, Gianna Nunes, Mia Nunes and Lucia Nunes along with her great grandson Jacob Madruga to honor her memory.

Mary was preceded in death by her spouse Arthur L. Nunes; and her siblings; Ermogenia Armelim, Carmen Teixeira, Jose Guilherme Luis and Manuel Luis.

Mary was a member of Shrine of Our Lady of Miracles Catholic Church in Gustine, she served as President for Gustine Pentecost and Our Lady of Miracles Festa. Mary was also a member of the Altar Society, LUSO, Y.L.I and Catholic Daughters.

A visitation for Mary will be held Monday December 27, 2021 from 4:00PM to 8:00 PM at Whitehurst-Norton-Dias Funeral Service 286 W. Main Street, Turlock, California, 95380.

A rosary service followed by a funeral mass will occur Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at 10:00 AM at Shrine of Our Lady of Miracles, 370 Linden Ave., Gustine, CA 95322.

A committal service following the funeral mass will occur Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at Turlock Memorial Park, 575 North Soderquist Road, Turlock, CA 95380.
