Mary Gloria Mello, age 93, of Atwater, California passed away at Emanuel Medical Center in Turlock, on Tuesday, November 7, 2023. Mary was born in Santa Maria, Açores to Alexandrina Almada Chaves and José Puim.
Mary is survived by her daughter Loretta Pereira, and her son-in-law Joe of Atwater; her brother Agostinho Monteiro of Massachusetts and her grandson Paul Pereira also of Atwater. Mary also leaves behind her Godchild Eddie Mello and his Family, along with many nieces, nephews and sisters-in-law.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband Manuel Mello; her father José Puim, her mother Alexandrina Almada Chaves; her grandson Edward Pereira and, her siblings, José, Antonio, João, Manuel, Maria and Beatriz.
A Visitation for Mary will be held Monday, November 20, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Whitehurst-Norton-Dias Funeral Service, 286 West Main, Turlock, CA 95380.
A Recitation of the Rosary and Funeral Mass will occur Tuesday, November 21, 2023 at 9:30 AM at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, 1799 Winton Way, Atwater, CA 95301.
A Committal Service will occur Tuesday, November 21, 2023 at Winton Cemetery District, 7651 Almond Avenue, Winton, CA 95388.
