Maria Espirto Santo Silva

Maria Espirto Santo Silva, age 91, of Winton, California passed away at home surrounded by her family on Monday, June 5, 2023. Maria was born in Calheta, São Jorge, Açores to Maria do Rosario Soares and José Da Costa.

Maria is survived by her son Victor and daughter-in-law Elizabeth Silva of Winton, California. She is also survived by her brother Joe Da Costa and his wife Paulina of Tulare, California and her sisters Catarina Costa Picanço, Lourdes Vallecer both of San Jose, California and Emilia Costa of Terceira, Açores. Maria also leaves behind her grandchildren Anna Killmer (Ian), Victor Silva Jr. (Gabriela) and Natalia Silva along with her great grandsons Alexander Beatham and Noah Pierre Silva to honor her memory.

Maria was preceded in death by her husband Emanuel José Mariano Cunha Silva, her father José Da Costa, her mother Maria do Rosario Soares Costa and her siblings Julia Soares Da Costa, Pedro Da Costa, Fernanda Teixeira and Bernadete Lamy.

A Visitation for Maria will be held Tuesday, June 13, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Whitehurst-Norton-Dias Funeral Service, 286 West Main, Turlock, CA 95380.

A Recitation of the Rosary and Funeral Mass will occur Wednesday, June 14, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church, 2602 South Walnut Road, Turlock, CA 95380.

Maria will be laid to rest Wednesday, June 14, 2023 at Turlock Memorial Park, 575 North Soderquist Road, Turlock, CA 95380.

Serving as pallbearers are Victor Silva Jr., Jerry Dover, John Silveira, Joey Ornelas, Anthony Leon and Adalberto Becerra Jr. .
