Maria José Rocha

Maria is survived by her husband, Antonio Pires of Hilmar, her children Stephanie Toste-Ferreira and Jessica Toste-Zavala (Ryan) both of Hilmar along with her step children Robert Pires of Modesto and Ana Laura Pires of Texas. Maria is also survived by her siblings Carlos Rocha (Janet), Luis Rocha (Natalie), Dolores Toste (Manuel), Ozzie Hernandez (Javier) all of Santa Clara and Natalie Ingram (Roger) of Tracy. Maria also leaves behind her grandchildren Seth Ferreira, Luke, Dallas, Jaxon and Henry Zavala to honor her memory.

Maria was preceded in death by her parents Manuel and Alda da Rocha her grandson Mateo Camara, her brothers Eddie and Joe Rocha and her nephew Derek Toste.

Maria was a member of SES Hall of Santa Clara, California, Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic in Turlock, California, Our Lady of the Assumption Choir and Our Lady of Fatima Santa Clara, California.

A Visitation for Maria will be held Thursday, May 25, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Whitehurst-Norton-Dias Funeral Service, 286 West Main, Turlock, CA 95380.

A Recitation of the Rosary and Funeral Mass will occur Friday, May 26, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church, 2602 South Walnut Road, Turlock, CA 95380.

A Committal service will occur Friday, May 26, 2023 at N. Hilmar Cemetery, 8710 N. Tegner Road, Hilmar, CA 95324.

Serving as pallbearers are Seth Ferreira, Robert Pires, Ryan Zavala, Kenny Ingram, Jonathon Rocha and Jay R. Hernandez.
