Maria Filomena Melo

Ms. Melo entered into rest at Los Banos Hospital with her family by her side. Ms. Melo was born in Flamengos, Faial, Azores and was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church of Hilmar, Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church of Turlock, Our Lady of Fatima of Los Banos and S.P.R.S.I. of Stevinson. Her Survivors are: Son, Tony Melo and his wife Helena of Galt, Ca. Daughters; Maria Aldina Silva and her husband Joe I. Silva of Los Banos, Maria Luisa Bulcao and her husband Jose of Feteira, Faial, Azores and Connie Sousa and her husband Antonio of Hilmar, CA. Brothers; Manuel S. Duarte of Canada and Henrique Duarte and his wife Mariana of Canada. 10 Grandchildren, and 17 Great-Grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Jose S. Melo, July 29, 2002. Her Parents; Antonio and Maria Amelia Duarte Brothers, Jose Duarte, Antonio Duarte, Francisco Duarte and Sisters, Luisa Garcia and Ana Avila.

Services:

Visitation; Wednesday, January 8, 2014 2-8PM at Whitehurst, Norton & Dias Funeral Chapel, 286 W. Main St, Turlock, CA.

Combined Service of Rosary & Mass; Thursday, January 9, 2014, 10AM at Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church, 2602 S. Walnut Rd, Turlock, CA.

Christian Burial will be following service at Mausoleum Turlock Memorial Park, 575 N. Soderquist Rd., Turlock, California.

Service under direction of Whitehurst, Norton & Dias Funeral Chapel, 286 W. Main St. Turlock, CA.
