Mrs. Maria Marques, age 57 “Entered into Rest” on Thursday, September 3, 2015 at Alexander Cohen Hospice House in Hughson, CA. She was born in Lajes, Terceira, Azores and has lived in Denair for 38 years. She was a Cannery Worker for Del Monte Cannery for 26 years. Mrs. Marques is survived by her Husband of 38 years, Frank A. Marques of Denair; Son – Frankie A. Marques, Jr. and his Wife Linda Marques of Ceres, CA; Daughter – Christina J. Marques of Denair; Two Brothers – Alfredo Aruda of Crescent City, CA and Rogerio Melo of Boston, MA; Three Sisters – Odete Martins of Modesto, CA, Cecilia Ormonde of Crescent City, CA and Natal Rocha of Vila Nova, Terceira, Azores; Grandson – Conner Marques of Ceres, CA. She was preceded in death by her Parents – Alfredo and Maria Aruda and Sister Manuela Lote
