Maria Zelia Howe, age 85, of Modesto, California passed away on Monday, January 28, 2019. She was born January 19, 1934 in São Pedro in the municipality of Ponta Delgada, São Miguel, Açores to Maria de Lourdes Gonçalves and Manuel da Silva Rocha.
Maria is survived by her husband, Donald V. Howe of Modesto and her three grandchildren.
Mrs. Howe was preceded in death by her son, Lonnie Correia and her sister Olga da Silva Gil.
A visitation for Mrs. Maria Zelia Howe will be held from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, February 7, 2019 at Whitehurst-Norton-Dias Funeral Service: 286 W. Main Street, Turlock, California.
There will be a recitation of the rosary followed by a funeral mass at 10:00 AM on Friday, February 8, 2019 at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church: 2602 S. Walnut Road, Turlock, California. She will be laid to rest immediately after the services at N. Hilmar Cemetery District: 8710 N. Tegner Avenue, Hilmar, California.
