Maria N Couto

Mrs. Maria Noemia Couto, age 86 “Entered into Rest” on Thursday, April 4, 2013 at her residence in Turlock. Mrs. Couto was born in Altares, Terceira, Azores to the late Joaquim and Maria Da Costa. Mrs. Couto was a homemaker for 66 years and a member of Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church of Turlock. She is survived by two Sons – Helio Couto and his Wife Angela of Turlock, John Couto and his Wife Margarita Couto of Turlock;

Daughter - Mary Lewis and her husband Joe Al Lewis of Turlock. Six Grandchildren, Nine Great Grandchildren, Four Sister-in-Laws, Carolina Sousa and Guiomar Mendes both of Turlock, Angela Bernardo of Artesia and Guilherminha Costa of Terceira, Azores and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her Husband Constantino Couto and two Brothers, Francisco Costa and Jose Costa.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 10, 2013 from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Whitehurst, Norton & Dias Funeral Chapel, 286 W. Main St., Turlock and the Vigil and Rosary will be held that evening at 8:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church, 2602 S. Walnut Rd., Turlock. Funeral Mass will be on Thursday, April 11, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church, Turlock. Interment will follow the Mass at Turlock Memorial Park, 575 N. Soderquist Rd., Turlock, CA
