Manuel Julio Silveira, age 76, of Half Moon Bay, California passed away on Thursday, April 4, 2019. He was born July 15, 1942 in Santo Amaro, São Jorge, Açores to Rosa Amelia da Silva and Julio Raposo da Silveira.
Manuel is survived by: daughter Gorete Burns (Bryan) of Morgan Hill; brother Alberto Silveira of Santo Amaro, Sao Jorge; and his grandchildren Julie and Kevin Burns.
Mr. Silveira was preceded in death by: his wife, Maria de Sousa Silveira in 2007; his son, Rui Manuel da Silveira in 2003; as well as his parents, Rosa Amelia da Silva and Julio Raposo da Silveira.
He was a dedicated parishioner of Our Lady of the Pillar Catholic Church in Half Moon Bay, California.
There will be a visitation at 11:00 AM on Friday, April 12, 2019 at Our Lady of the Pillar Catholic Church: 400 Church Street, Half Moon Bay, California. A recitation of the rosary will begin at 12:00 PM and will be followed by a funeral mass. He will be laid to rest after the services at Our Lady of the Pillar Catholic Cemetery: 925 Miramontes Street, Half Moon Bay, California.
Serving as pallbearers are Kevin Burns, Shawn Davis, B.J. Burns, Carlos Barbosa, José Silva, and Paulo Sousa.
