Paul lived a life filled with love, laughter, and a deep appreciation for the simple joys that life had to offer. He was a kind and gentle soul and his presence will be sorely missed by all who knew him.
He was a man with infectious positivity, always looking on the bright side of life and encouraging those around him to do the same. His outlook was one of resilience, and even in the toughest of times, he could be found with a smile and a kind word.
A true sports fan, Paul was a lifelong supporter of the LA Dodgers and the LA Rams. He was known to collect and display memorabilia from his beloved teams, always making space for one more piece. His enthusiasm for sports was matched only by his love for his family, and there were few things he enjoyed more than sharing the excitement of a game with those he loved.
Camping was also another one of Paul’s greatest passions. His adventurous spirit would light up all the trails and campfires that were shared with him. Those nights spent in the great outdoors were some of his favorite times, and in his opinion, there was no such thing as too many camping trips with his family and friends.
Paul loved to share his passions, but there was nothing more special to him than spending time making memories with his family. He could be found from time to time on the golf course with his son sharing both laughs and advice, playing catch with his youngest son, and though he may have danced begrudgingly with his daughter, those moments were cherished memories of love and joy.
Paul is survived by his wife Nobelia, his children Joshua (24), Avery (21), and Conner (9), his parents Jerry and Rhonda Howard of Hilmar, his sister Amy (Brad) Choate of Salinas, his mother-in-law Maria Mota of Hilmar, his brother-in-laws John (Angie) Mota of Sacramento, Tony Mota (Dorian) of Playa del Rey, Donald Mota (Mari) of Long Beach, his sister-in-laws Angela (Mike) Mays of Ceres, Liz (Dino) Avila of Turlock, and Gorette (Ray) Oliveira of Hilmar, a nephew, and many nieces, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends whom are truthfully more akin to family.
Paul was preceded in death by his grandparents, and his father-in-law Luis Mota.
Paul leaves behind a legacy of kindness, love, and laughter that will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing him. He was a man who made the world brighter with his presence, and his spirit will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who were touched by his warmth and generosity.
May you rest in peace, Paul. Your love and light will never be forgotten.
