Flor F. Dias, age 88, of Merced, California passed away in her home peacefully surrounded by family on Friday, September 24, 2021. She was born March 27, 1933 in Rosais , São Jorge , Açores to Emilia do Rosario Silva and Jose Silveira Vitorino.
Flor is survived by: her daughter Gorette Machado (Joe) of Merced; and her daughter Angie Harris of Modesto; her brother Antonico Vitorino of Santa Clara; her sister Germana Faustino of São Jorge; and her daughter-in-law Kristy Dias.
Flor F. Dias leaves behind nine grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren in her memory.
Flor was preceded in death by: her father Jose Silveira Vitorino; her mother Emilia do Rosario Silva; husband Manuel Silveira Dias; son Joe Dias; brother Manuel Vitorino; brother Jose Vitorino Jr.; sister Rosa Soares; sister Maria Norris; Luisa Santa Vitorino; and grandson Manuel Dias Machado.
She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Our Lady of Fatima in Thorton, and Our Lady of Sowarrs in Thorton.
A Visitation for Flor will be held from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, October 13, 2021 at Whitehurst-Norton-Dias Funeral Service, 286 W. Main Street, Turlock, California.
A Recitation of the Rosary followed by Funeral Mass will occur at 10:00 AM on Thursday, October 14, 2021 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 1200 Lyons Avenue, Turlock, California. A Committal Service will follow at Turlock Memorial Park, 575 N. Soderquist Road, Turlock, California.
