Antonio Fernandes Rocha

Antonio Fernandes Rocha, age 95, of Hilmar, California passed away in Turlock, California on Tuesday, February 21, 2023. Antonio was born in Feteira, Terceira, Açores to Margarida Silva and Antonio Fernandes Rocha.

Antonio is survived by his two sons José Vieira Fernandes (Nelia) of Atwater and Marcelino Vieira Rocha (Lucia) of Hilmar along with his sister-in-law Cremilde Rocha of Canada. Antonio also leaves behind his 5 grandchildren Nelia Santos (Jeremy), Joe Fernandes (Nichole), David Fernandes (Brianna), Michael Rocha (Lauren) and Kathy Cirne (Alex) along with 7 great grandchildren with one on the way and 1 great great grandchild and many nieces and nephews to honor his memory.

Antonio was preceded in death by his spouse Maria de Lourdes Rocha, his son Antonio Fernandes Rocha, his father Antonio Fernandes Rocha and his mother Margarida Silva. His siblings Maria Brito, Francisco Fernandes Rocha, José Fernandes Rocha, along with his brother-in-law José Brito and his sister-in-law Ilda Rocha.

Antonio was a member of Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church in Turlock and and worked on a US Air Force Base for 35 years.

A visitation for Antonio will be held Friday, February 24, 2023 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Whitehurst-Norton-Dias Funeral Service, 286 West Main, Turlock, CA 95380.

A Rosary and Funeral Mass will occur Friday, February 24, 2023 at 12:00 PM at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church, 2602 South Walnut Road, Turlock, CA 95380.

A Committal Service will occur Friday, February 24, 2023 at N. Hilmar District Cemetery, 8710 Tegner Road, Hilmar, CA 95324.
