Antonio is survived by his son, Tony H. Galante, along with his godchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews, who will cherish his memory. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Alvarina P. Galante; his parents, João Vaz Galante and Maria do Carmo Galante; and his brothers, John Galante, José Galante, and Frank Galante.
A deeply devoted and faithful man, Antonio was an active parishioner at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Hilmar, where he found solace and strength in his faith. His unwavering commitment to his religious community was evident in his years of service and participation in church activities. Antonio was also involved in various local organizations, including S.E.S. #18 of Stevinson, I.D.E.S. of Turlock, and P.F.S.A., where he built lasting relationships and supported his fellow community members.
Antonio’s life was defined by his kindness, generosity, and devotion to both his family and faith. He was a man of strong values who gave much to his church and his community, and he will be remembered fondly by all who knew him.
A visitation for Antonio will be held on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Whitehurst-Norton-Dias Funeral Service, 286 West Main, Turlock, CA 95380.
The Recitation of the Rosary and Funeral Mass will take place on Thursday, April 3, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 20263 American Avenue, Hilmar, CA 95324.
A committal service will follow at Turlock Memorial Park, 575 N. Soderquist Rd, Turlock, CA 95380.
Serving as pallbearers will be Willy Delgado, Joe Martin, Fernando Rodrigues, Wagner Cateano, Louie Bettencourt, and Antonio Vieira.
Faleceu no dia 19 de março de 2025 em Turlock, o Sr. Antonio Vaz Galante, com 94 anos de idade. Viveu em Hilmar nos últimos 30 anos.
O Sr. Galante nasceu em Ribeirinha, Terceira, Açores, filho de Maria do Carmo e João Vaz Galante.
O Sr. Galante deixa de luto o seu filho, Tony H. Galante de Merced, seus afilhados e muitos sobrinhos e sobrinhas.
O Sr. Galante foi precedido na morte pela sua esposa, Alvarina P. Galante; os seus pais, João Vaz Galante e Maria do Carmo Galante; e os seus irmãos, John Galante, José Galante e Frank Galante.
O Sr. Galante foi paroquiano da Igreja Católica de Nossa Senhora do Rosário em Hilmar. Foi membro de, S.E.S. #18 de Stevinson, I.D.E.S. de Turlock e P.F.S.A..
