Wilma L. Johnson, 89, passed away peacefully with family present on July 6, 2018. Wilma “Johnny” was born and raised in Rainier WA., and was a lifelong resident of Thurston county. Her grandparents homesteaded near Rainier. She loved to share stories about growing up on the family farm.
Johnny enjoyed various activities throughout her long life, she was an avid gardener and traveled extensively with her husband Art and then with her companion Dale.
Johnny touched countless lives as she drove a school bus for nearly 40 years for the Tenino School District. She was proud of her perfect record in driving.
She was preceded in death by her husband Art and her companion Dale. She is survived by her children and their spouses, Denny and Paulette, Chris and Tom, Cindy and Steve. Also surviving are 8 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
A special heartfelt thanks to the caring team at Olympic West and the Providence Hospice team for their dedication and care given to Wilma for the last 10 months.
A private graveside service will be held for family. On July 21, family and friends are invited to attend a celebration of Wilma’s life.
