Bill graduated from North Thurston High School in 1977. He went on to work in Law Enforcement as a Police Officer and Corrections Officer with the Mason County Sheriff’s Office, Department of Corrections, Chehalis Tribal Police Department, Oakville Police Department, Olympia Police Department and the Thurston County Sheriff’s Office.
He was a member of Mt. Moriah Lodge in Shelton and a member of the Scottish Rite of the Tumwater Valley.
Also known to his friends as Big Bill, he was a very generous man with a big heart and even bigger smile. He loved everyone that he met and would give you the shirt off his back.
Bill is survived by his daughter Terrina Peterson, his Brother Dr. Lester (Les) Peterson (Barbara), fiancé Audra Reynolds and her sons Johnny, Jacob and Josiah; and many Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. Bill was preceded in death by his parents Clarance Peterson and Moon Ja Kim.
