Rosemary had many interests and hobbies that kept her busy since her retirement. She had an insatiable appetite for travel that she shared with her husband and friends which took her to several countries. Her artistic and creative side showed her the love of music, where she played the violin for the South Puget Sound Community Orchestra and the YMCA Band. Rosemary could spend hours on many quilt projects that she sewed with her quilting group. Her latest interest was learning about her genealogy, you could find her deep into her computer late at night learning about her ancestors. In 1994, Dick and Rosemary moved to the “farm” where she and Dick shared the love and hard work it took to grow a successful garden. Dick would cultivate the gardens and Rosemary would help in the harvest and canned their crops. During the time at the farm, she and Dick became sponsors for the Wendell Berry Community Garden located on their property. In 2013, they temporally hung up their garden implements for life at Panorama City where they immersed themselves in their new community and made many new lifelong friends.
Rosemary was married in June of 1974 to her surviving husband, Richard Walrod.
