Mickel Anthony Teeter

SSG Mickel Anthony Teeter, a resident of Olympia, died on April 26, 2023 in Lacey. He was 30 years of age.

Mickel was born on October 11, 1992 in Olympia and was the son of CW5 James Johnson and Ronna Teeter. He graduated from Timberline High School in 2011 an enlisted in the United States Army, proudly following in his father’s footsteps. Mickel was a proud soldier, serving for 13 years. He achieved the rank of Staff Sergeant with aspirations of becoming a Warrant Officer like his dad.

Mickel was a kind and generous person with a funny, dry sense of humor. He had a fascination with cars, specifically a ’91 Camaro and he enjoyed riding his motorcycle. His greatest love was his son who was the axis his world revolved around.

Mickel is survived by his son, Xander Teeter, Father and Mom, James Johnson and Bobbie Kennedy, Mother Ronna Teeter, Sisters, Ila and Jaylee Johnson and Grandmother Beverly Teeter.

A graveside service with full military honors will be held on Saturday, May 13, 2023 at 1:00 pm at Mills & Mills Memorial Park in Tumwater. A reception will follow at the Thurston County Readiness Center.
