To the family and friends of Lee,

It hardly seems possible that two years have passed since this wonderful man died. That said, I am well reminded of his life all of the time, especially with regard to his efforts to help others. He found happy destiny, leaving many of us to follow in his steps. Peace!

I met Lee early in his later years and from the first day we met, called him friend.. He was honest, more so than many and had a sparkle in his eye when he smiled that was unmistakable mirth.. Lee, i will miss our chance meetings and warm hugs.. may your breath and voice be free wherever you are and may you eternally know how loved you are

Lee was a man full of grace, kindness and a sprinkling of mischief. Thank you Lee for always making me feel cared for and special. You were and will always be my hero. 

Lee Hastig was a man whose experience, strength, and hope helped so many people over nearly two decades. After our first meeting, I got to know a man of great humor and love. While at times just a little irascible, Lee always managed to live life on life's terms. There is a host of friends, counting myself among them, who will deeply miss this wonderfully mischievous and dedicated man. He will live on in so many hearts. I can still hear his footfall as so many of us continue to "trudge the road of happy destiny." Peace, my friend.

Has been 60+ years since I knew Frank Hastig.   He was part of the Gene Kelley tap dance style craze of the early 50's.  He gave tap performances at the Finnish Brotherhood & Sisterhood lodge #11 in Seattle [near Ballard].  He knew my parents very well as well as did his mother Lillian Hastig.  All things must pass. Grieve well.

I worked with Lee for many years and was always happy for the support he gave to all of his peers and myself.  I enjoyed seeing him after retirement at our luncheons, and will miss his presence.


I had the pleasure of working with Lee for over 15 years.  He was a wonderful friend and coworker.  He was extremely intelligent and  was a great person to learn from. He will be missed.  

Dearest Lee .
You will be missed . May God grant you eternal life . Just because one can not see a Ship on the Horizon anymore , does not mean it is not there . Rest In Peace my friend . 

Lee was a nice man with wise words and dignity. Glad he shared his life with OlyAA as long as he did. 

Lee, thank you for your wisdom and unconditional support for so many years.

And, that twinkle in your eye.........
