Judy was born in Pe Ell, WA to Frank Bloomingdale and Margerite (Peggy) Bloomingdale nee Jenkins, who have preceded her in passing.
Judy made her home in Olympia, WA with her husband William A Perry who also preceded her in going home to the Lord. She is survived by her brother Wayne O Bloomingdale and her 5 children Michael T Kosoff and wife Susan, Richard W Kosoff and wife Tammy, Leann A Geiger (nee Perry) and husband Edward, Sherrie Graves and husband Ted, and Kelly R Perry and wife Jennifer.
She will be remembered as a playful, prayerful, and adoring grandmother by her 13 grandchildren, Sarah B Mulkey, Joel M Kosoff, Melissa M Lee, Misty Morgan, Emily A Kosoff, Jeffery S Kosoff, Skye Harvey, Daniel R Kosoff, David D Geiger, Christopher W Kosoff, Libery G Kosoff, Madison R Perry and Mackenzie R Perry.
She was also blessed with 17 GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN she was so proud of and adored.
Judy was very energetic and involved in her community working right up to her passing. She had been the catalog department manager at Sears in the 1970’s, a department manager at JC Penney, from which she retired, in the 1990’s. She was an active force in establishing the Crisis Pregnancy Center in Olympia, WA (now known as CareNet), where she eventually became the director in the 1990’s. She was the director of Operation Teen Esteem bringing abstinence and healthy relationship education to public and private schools throughout Washington and reaching as far as Russia and Mexico. She was involved with a great many ministries including Daniel’s Prayer House at the Washington State Capital, Franklin Graham Ministries, Youth with a Mission and many more.
Judy had many hobbies and passions. She was always up for an adventure, often travelling to learn about new places or visit with family and friends. She enjoyed talking politics and fighting for what she believed in. Judy was known for late night conversations over coffee and French Toast breakfasts
followed by a required family photo. Her family and friends loved how she was always looking for an opportunity to sing and dance, whether it was in the kitchen at Daniel’s house or in her living room with her family. She shared the grace and love of the Lord with everyone she met and always had enough time to stop and pray for or with someone.
Judy was an active member of a variety of prayer groups and bible studies over the many years and made many lifelong friends there. She was devoted to her friends, her birthday girls, her German ladies, and so many more. She was an avid reader, a lifelong learner, and thoroughly enjoyed teaching others.
She was also a passionate supporter of her family, going out of her way to make it to everything from family concerts, baseball games or tournaments, Hoopfest, weekly football games or dance classes and everything in between. She was so loved by all who knew her and she will be greatly missed.
