Jacqueline A. Norris (Jackie), 56, of Olympia passed away on April 4, 2017 after her second battle with cancer. She was born in Seattle, Washington on January 20, 1961 to John and Julie Norris. Jackie graduated from Mercer Island High School in 1979 and started work for Seafirst Bank as a statement clerk. She worked for Seafirst (which became Bank of America) for 30 years and retired as a Senior Operations Clerk in 2009.
She moved to Olympia from Seattle with her dog Ginger in 2015 to an apartment community where she found many new friends who became her second family.
Jackie was an avid jewelry maker and collector. She enjoyed music and rock concerts and had numerous pen pals she corresponded with for over 30 years.
She loved the beach, especially the family cabin on Hood Canal where she spent many summers with her beloved siblings, cousins and friends.
She is survived by her sisters Jill Turner, Diane (Dan) Wilkinson and brother John (Mimi) Norris, 12 nieces and nephews and nine great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister Celeste Mitchel (Alan).
Services will be held on Friday, April 21 at 11 AM at St. Monica Catholic Church 4311 88th Ave SE, Mercer Island, Washington. Private family internment will follow.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Mary Bridge Children’s Foundation or Seattle Children’s Hospital.
