Edmond Shattuck passed away peacefully with his son and daughter by his side. We will miss him dearly but rejoice in knowing that on the first day of summer he joined his family in heaven. He leaves behind his life-long love and wife, Rosemary; his two children, Mark Shattuck, and Jorjana Pedersen; grand-children, Maria Shattuck, Zandrea Edenstrom (Doug), Markisha Shattuck-Lynch (Tim), Hunter Shattuck, Joel Pedersen, Caleb Pedersen; four great-grandchildren; and his sister, Dolores Gray. He was preceded in death by seven siblings.
Ed was born to George Henry Shattuck and Marguerite Shattuck (Jones) on the family's homestead on Sapp Road. Ed and Rosemary lived on this property, which was part of the original land grant of his grandfather in the 1800's. He lived his last years in the very same home in which he was born. Ed was loved by everyone who knew him. He was kind, gentle, and always had time for others. He enjoyed making people laugh and spending time with family and friends, especially walking on the trails in his woods and picking wild flowers and blackberries. Ed was God's gift to us and a beautiful example of a pure, loving heart. Ed was a life member of the NRA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to NRA ILA www.nraila.org.
