I will never forget how kind she was to me at work, checking in to see how I was doing   and how she never pushed me to talk when I didn’t want to. I will miss her very much, and our little check ins with each other.

Sonia “So” was one of my first and dearest friends since I can remember. We attended Mt Carmel together and sat next to each other on the bus after school.  She always had my back. She was funny, genuine, selfless, positive and shared whatever she had. I left Saipan back in 1989 and met up with her again at Auntie Kats funeral and also got to meet all her beautiful children and I’ll tell you she hasn’t aged a bit. Her love and friendship remained the same. We had made plans to get together but unfortunately we didn’t get a chance to do that.  My heart goes out to the family. May her memories forever live on in our hearts.  Auntie Chonki, I know it hurts because you lost your only daughter but I hope you find comfort that she’s now in heaven with Uncle Steve.
