Corey was born on April 12, 1957 in Soap Lake, WA, and passed away on July 30, 2013 at 6:45 p.m. at the Shelton Rehabilitation Center just a few weeks after being diagnosed with cancer in his spine. Those of you who knew Corey, knew he was a paraplegic since just before his 21st birthday, so most of his adult life he was bound to a wheelchair. This did not slow him down, he was very active, going to the casino, visiting friends and relatives, as well as being a member of the Shelton Moose Lodge. He was an avid bird lover and he left behind his three birds Lucy, a Conure, and 2 Amazon parrots Butterball and Patches. Corey was single, so he left no wife or dependants. He was preceded in death by his father Dean Clement of Olympia and his sister Wanda Hardy of Shelton. He is survived by his mother Myneta Clement in Lacey, Washington and five brothers, Michael (wife Kari), Creed (wife Sandy), Steven (wife Diane), John (wife Colleen) and his youngest brother Randy, all who reside in the Olympia area except John who's family just recently moved to Las Vegas, Nevada. Corey also left behind 8 nephews and 6 nieces.
Corey spent a lot of time with his mom and his younger brother Randy who took care of him on many occasions when he had medical complications due to his paraplegia, so he was one of his younger brother's best friends and will be deeply missed. Corey's wishes were for a small memorial and this is scheduled to take place at the Moose Lodge in Shelton at 741 SE Craig Rd on August 19, 2013 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
