She was born to Milan Arthur and Cora Esther Shuck Musick on March 11, 1938 in Moclips, Washington. She married Robert Lewis Evans on March 24, 1956. They moved to Olympia, Washington in 1957 where they raised their family.
Cheryl was preceded in death by Robert on June 2, 1992; her parents Milan and Cora; her brother Larry. She married Roger Dion on April 9, 1999; he preceded her in death on November, 9, 2012.
She worked for multiple State agencies during her career and helped her good friend Jody start a home health agency in Chehalis, Washington.
Cheryl and Robert were members of the Do-Si-Do Square Dance Club. There they met a group of lifelong friends: the Blencoes, Eatons, Hopkins, Jones, Lovos, Nedrows and Pearce's. She and Roger were Snowbirds and enjoyed spending their winters in Arizona. During her lifetime she was a member of the Dirty Daves slow-pitch team, Toastmasters, Sweet Adeline's, multiple golf groups, St. Rita Catholic Church in Portland and St. Michael Catholic Church in Olympia.
She loved singing, dancing, bowling (with Marla), golfing (with Roger), happy hours (with red wine), traveling (most frequently pilgrimages with the church to Spain, France and Germany), and the beach.
She is survived by her children: Jeffrey Lewis (Laura), Scott Lewis (Terri), and Holly Evans Johnson (Kevin). She leaves behind her best friend and sister Nancy Cottrell, brother Mike Musick (Donna), grandchildren Daniel (Shawn, Jamie (Mike), David (Jessica), Kevin J., Morgan (Brian), and Courtney; great-grandchildren Catherine and Jaxon; and her beloved nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind a large extended family, her daughter-in-law Laura’s children and grandchildren, Roger's three children, their spouses, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
She truly loved and enjoyed sharing her life with each and every one of you. She was the kindest most accepting person we will all ever know and she will be truly missed.
Services will be on May 30, 2018 at St. Michael Catholic at 12:00 Noon. Interment will be at Mills & Mills Memorial Park in Tumwater at 2:00 PM.
A reception will follow at the Pellegrino Center.
