Charlotte Kathleen Cardoza passed away peacefully at her home in Hoodsport, Washington on March 19, 2015 with her son Thomas, daughter Dori and son-in-law Doug by her side. Charlotte was born on June 6, 1943 in Glendive, Montana to Charles W and Doris L. England.
Earlier years were spent attending Washington Elementary School until her family of seven move to Visalia, California in 1951. Charlotte then moved to Ione, Amador County, California where she graduated from Ione High School. Remaining in Ione for several years, getting married to William (Pete) Flint Yarrington on March 31, 1962. Charlotte settled with her family in Central Valley area of California, where she was employed with the State of California Department of Corrections Youth Authority in the Stockton California parole center assisting parole officers in there everyday She later worked at DeWitt Nelson Institution in Stockton as a group supervisor, substance abuse counselor, and work furlough program administrator. She moved to Woodland, California and in 1979 married Manuel Mochado Cardoza. There she worked for the State Department of Social Services as an employment counselor. In 1984 she and her husband moved to Redding, California where she also worked as an employment counselor and vocational evaluator until she retired.
After retirement they relocated to Olympia, Washington. Charlotte enjoyed spending time with her family the most. In her lifetime she enjoyed traveling, dancing, racing dirt bikes, elephants, arts and crafts. Charlotte is known for touching every person's life she met instantly. She was the most living wife, sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, friend and always took care of other before herself.
She is preceded in death by her parents Charles and Doris England, her husband Manuel Cardoza, and her brother Charles England. She is survived by her children: son - Thomas (Staci) Yarrington of Olympia, Washington; stepson - Steven (Jennifer) Cardoza of El Sombrante, California, daughter - Dori (Doug) Hainline of Hoodsport, Washington, grandchildren: Danielle (John) Willson, Johnny (Kim) Yarrington, Dustin Hainline, Daryl (Cassie) Hainline, Benjamin Cardoza, Joseph Cardoza, and great-grandchildren: Ivan, Liliana, Aidyn, Jaryn and Drevyn. Also by her adopted grndchildren: Carrisa Hainline, Myles Wallace, Crystal Carle; her brother Donald (Dorothy England and sisters Iris (Curt) Milne, D'Veda D'Agostini, sisters-in-law Betty England, LaVerne Storni, Dee (Dan) Farnum and many nieces, nephews for which she had a special bond with each one.
Memorial Services will be held at Turning Point Church of Olympia, 3525 Marvin Road NE, Lacey, WA 98516 on April 11, 2015 at 1:00 p.m.
