Brian D. Hodgson, 78, was born on July 6, 1938 and passed away from complications related to a stroke on December 13, 2016.
Brian enjoyed all sports and played basketball long into his adult life. He also enjoyed hunting but duck hunting was his favorite since his teen years. He graduated from Olympia High School and St. Martin's College (now University) with an accounting degree. Brian was employed by the State of Washington until he started his own business. In 1967, he opened Washington King Clam in Tacoma where he pioneered the commercial harvesting of geoduck clams.
He leaves his family with many memories, He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia, and his children, Sheri and Thomas.
