Barbara Wolfe

Barbara Mary Elizabeth Bell Wolfe, age 83 passed away peacefully with her family by her side at Mother Joseph's in Olympia, WA on Monday May 28, 2012. Barbara, born March 2, 1929 in Tacoma, WA, was the only child of her loving and devoted parents Robert J. Bell and Faith McDonald Bell. She grew up in Tacoma, attending St. Patrick's Elementary School, Aquinas Academy and the College of Puget Sound. She graduated with her bachelor's degree in Education in 1951. Barbara went on to teach at the Geiger Elementary School in Tacoma. On June 12, 1954, she married Harold (Hap) T. Wolfe, Sr. They were married 58 years and made their home in Olympia, WA. She is survived by her loving husband, and three devoted sons: Harold (Hal) T. Wolfe, Jr. and Carol of Olympia, WA; Robert G. Wolfe and Carolyn of Kirkland, WA and Thomas R. Wolfe and Cynthia of Buckley, WA along with ten loving grandsons. Barbara is also survived by her cousin Marilyn Hueffed of Doty, WA. She was dearly loved by all her friends and family and will be greatly missed. Barbara was a member of the Chi Omega Sorority, Children's Orthopedic Guild, St. Agatha's Guild, and Chapter CF P.E.O. She was a life long Catholic and parishioner of St. Michael's Catholic Church. Barbara enjoyed boating, bridge, and traveling the world. Her greatest joy was to be surrounded by her loving family. A viewing and Rosary Service will be held on Wednesday May 30, 2012 between 6:00 and 8:00 pm at Mills & Mills Funeral Home; 5725 Littlerock Road, SW, Tumwater, WA. A Rosary Service will precede the funeral mass at 11:00 am at St. Michael's Catholic Church; 1055 Boundary Street SE, Olympia, WA on Thursday May 31, 2012. The mass will be at 12:00 pm with a reception immediately following. The internment will take place at approximately 3:00 pm at Calvary Cemetery, 5212 70th Street West Tacoma, WA 98467.
