"Punky" was born on August 25, 1936 in Tenino, Washington to Edna (Goodwin) and Arnold Raymond Englund Sr. During World War II, he went to live with his Aunt Ideal and Uncle Clarence in Saco, Montana where he attended grade school until he moved back to Rainier, Washington to live with his parents and attended High School. While attending High School he met his future wife Rodgie Arleen Ramsay. They were married on July 14, 1956 in Yelm, Washington.
Dad had many jobs and was a jack of all trades. A few of his favorite places he worked was for Weyerhaeuser for 20+ years where he made many life long friends. He left Weyerhaeuser to move to Liberia Africa where he worked for Liberian Timber & Plywood. He and his wife Rodgie and daughter Susie made many memories there until he broke his leg and returned home to Rainier. He then got the opportunity to work in Alaska for two seasons mining gold.
After his beloved wife passed away Arnie moved back to his childhood home of Saco, Montana. He rebuilt his life there as a rancher. He loved it when his children and grandchildren would visit. He spent many hours sitting on his front porch watching the wildlife out in his yard and out on the prairie. He tamed two feral cats "Sharky" and "Funny Face" which resulted in two batches of kittens. He enjoyed watching them grow and spoiling them.
He was preceded in death by his Parents, wife Rodgie and her parents Rodger and Eileen Ramsay, Sister Reona Layton, Granddaughter Robyn Kay Johnson and Grandson Timothy Arnold Hopkins.
He is survived by his brothers, Dave (Shirley) Englund and Jim Englund; daughters Karen (Al) Kurosu, Myrna (Terrell) Hopkins, and Susan (Rick) Rossmaier; Grandchildren, DJ, Leah, Becky, DeeDee, Justin, Rusty, Andrew, Micah, Ravae, Angela, Tony, Alisha "Ishy", Jacob and Kyle; 8 great grandchildren Ashlyn, Aidan, Grey, Bonnie, Kennedy, Reagan, Sienna and Kade; and his dear neighbor and friend George Soennichsen.
