Many of you know her as Mrs. Chang, Miss Ana, or her birth name Win Lin Wang. She was born on August 1, 1950, in Taipei, Taiwan, and entered the presence of the Lord on June 11, 2024. She gave birth to three children. She is survived by her younger sister in Taiwan, two daughters, Rosa and Maria, and their husbands, Khamsy and John respectively. She has nine grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, and one more on the way.
She worked in the Taipei National Zoo and Amusement Park. While her husband was working abroad, she took on two more side jobs to purchase airline tickets to unite their family in Costa Rica. While in Costa Rica, she became a housewife, cared for her family, and managed room rentals in their 9-room boarding house. She also sold homemade egg rolls to a nearby restaurant and private parties to supplement their income. After three years, she saved enough money for the family to move to America.
God allowed them to stay in Tucson by giving them the King’s Chinese Restaurant from 1988 to 2007. It is in that restaurant that Pastor Crews began the Sunday afternoon services, and it grew to what we have today, the Coronado Baptist Church.
After her husband’s graduation to Heaven, she sold the restaurant. She worked a few odd jobs before working at the Census Bureau for about 10 years. From there, she retired to travel the world, playing cards with her friends and serving at her church as a cook, a driver, and a wonderful encourager.
She trusted Jesus as her personal Savior in 1985, and through the loss of her son and husband, she has never lost sight of her Lord and Savior. She encouraged those around her to trust in Jesus as their Savior and in His plan. She shared the greatness of the Lord as much as she could by loving and caring for those around her. Now it is her turn to enter those Pearly Gates of Heaven, and it’s not goodbye, but it is “I will see you again” for those who have been born again.
Services will be held at Coronado Baptist Church, 2609 N Park Avenue, in Tucson Arizona, on Saturday, June 22nd. Visitation will begin at 9:00am followed by a funeral service at 10:00am. Committal service and burial will be at South Lawn Cemetery, 5401 S. Park Avenue, Tucson, Arizona, 85706, at 12:00pm following the funeral service.
