Willie B. Christie Davis was born to Tom Chester Christie and Aliene Sims on May 17, 1942, in Tallahassee, FL. Willie attended public schools in Leon County in Florida and Wayne County in Michigan, where she graduated from Chadsey High School. She returned to Tallahassee, married Robert Davis, Jr., and had four children.
Willie worked as a Receiving Manager at K-Mart in Tucson, AZ, and San Jose, CA, for over 25 years. Once she retired, she enjoyed spending time with her family, volunteering at her church, and participating in Bible Study, before relocating to Palmetto, FL, to care for her ailing mother. Willie moved back to AZ in 2022 and later became a resident at Savanna House in Gilbert. Affectionately known as "Ms. Willie," she made quite the impression on the Savanna community with her smile, feisty, fun-loving personality, and quirky sense of humor.
Willie passed away in her sleep on Sunday, April 30, 2023. She was preceded in death by her parents, three half brothers, Ronald, Christie, Gerald Christie, and Kenneth Christie, her ex-husband, Robert Davis, Jr., and her daughter, Paula Yvette.
