William Andrew Usry

Bill was born in rural Georgia November 5th, 1933. Upon graduating High School, he enlisted in the U.S. Army and served in the Military Police Corp. At the completion of his enlisted service, Bill began a civil service career in the field of technical writing. Spanning a career of 32 years, Bill rose to become the Chief of the Technical Publications Branch in the Communication Security Logistics Agency at Ft. Huachuca. In 1953, Bill married Katherine Jordan. Together, they were blessed with 49 years of marriage, sharing their love for each other, family, the Chicago Cubs and the Washington Redskins. Following Katherine’s death in 2002, Bill found new love with Joan Trotta. Together they were married for 17 years, sharing their love of gardening, travel and spending time with family and friends.

Bill was loved and respected by all that knew him and will be profoundly missed.

Bill is survived by his wife, Joan Trotta; Children Stephen Usry and Sandra Welnick; grandchildren, Lindsey Welnick, Amy Logsdon and Scott Usry , and Great Grand Children, Jordyn, and Nolan Logsdon.
