Bill, I enjoyed working with you in the TPD major offenders unit. Rest in peace Bro.

Christine, Brenda & I will always remember Bill for his smile and unique since of humor. He always had an interesting story to tell when ever we would met up, and somehow it always had everyone smiling or laughing when he finished.  We enjoyed many great times together as members of the Tucson Rodeo Parade Committee.  One of our favorite memories is going to the lake with Bill and some of his other buddies, floating around in the boat, fishing, swimming and telling stories. We will miss him dearly.

Dad you were the best father anyone could have ever had,  everyone knows that you had an awesome career in law enforcement, and were a great asset to the community that you served.  Anyone that has ever been around you knows what a great guy you always were. I was always proud to say that's my dad, and was proud to tell people you were a policeman.  I would say above all else that family was always first, maybe some would disagree, but your most crowning  achievement in life was to marry Christine in October of 1982, it was the beginning to good life for you guys and  for five kids that really needed a solid foundation to work from. It was a family with a bright future for all, we had our share of everyday life problems, and sometimes we fought and argued about various things, but no matter what we were all together and that's what counted the most. I would say the most important  thing that you taught me, was to never ever quit or give up in life.   You once said to me  it's the bottom of the ninth the count is full, and life just threw you a curve, what are you going to do?  I'm going to step up to the plate and drive  it out of the park. Christine and Family; 

Bill was sooo very loved by the members of the Tucson Rodeo Parade Committee.  When he was active with us, he was such a great asset.  In my mind, I remember him as "one of the wise ones".
Bill was thoughtful about his input,  his instruction and his advice.   I admired him for that part of history and the sound wisdom he brought to our meetings and our work.     My father was  Curt Sullivan, and he too thought alot of Bill.  Even in preparation for recent events, our members refer to Bill's contribution of "security" at the gate of the Parade Box seating for the Rodeo.   He brought a 'command presence" that was always respected.  (His uniform and badge,  were helpful too!)  He was a dedicated member of our committee and a friend to everyone he met.

Bill will always have a special place in our hearts and in our work for years to come.  

I just have to say that Bill will really be missed. I will not forget the trips to the White Mountains for the bike rally. He was the happiest I can remember when we were up in Pinetop Lakeside enjoying the beautiful scenery and the weather, but most of all just relaxing and enjoying being with friends. He was one of the best people I have had the pleasure of calling a dear friend. Miss you Bill.

Bill, we went in the same class for white collar crime training, worked together in white collar crime, and again in the fencing unit. I always enjoyed your company. Thank you for your professionalism ! God bless you and your family!

Bill was a member of the Tucson Rodeo Parade Committee for a long time.  He was a great guy.  He was always kind and helpful to everyone.  He always had a story regarding the dogs he worked with and his time in law enforcement.  Bill will be missed.    

   I am so sorry to hear of your loss Christine.  Bill and I go back many years to include the present.  We went from under cover officers way back then to American Legion Riders.  I enjoyed Bill's wit and great sense of humor.    You are all in my prayers and may God Bless your family. 

Christine, so much time has gone by. I remember when we went through ups & downs.  At last Bill came to his senses and realized you were the real deal and he made your wishes come true & married you!  You two made a great life for yourselves. I was so happy to see him the last time I was in Tucson, May of 2013. Bill was happy, telling me about his motorcycle adventures and about his family.  I will cherish the memories we all made, they were good times for sure.  I am so sorry for your loss, I know there will be a hole in your heart that no one can fill.  I picture him around a campfire with Gary shooting the breeze!

Bill was a longtime member of the Tucson Rodeo Parade Committee, joining us in the early 90's and remaining an Active member until 2006 when he became a very active Advisor.  Bill served on the Executive Board of the Parade Committee, and during his time was chair of the wagon rental committee and helped with museum tours and renovations of the wagons.  He will be missed.

Bill, I met you in Benson when you got there with DPS.  We had great times hunting, fishing and camping.  You inspired my Law Enforcement Career.  You will be missed  but not forgotten.

You have gone on to a better place now but you will be missed and not forgotten by many.  Was always a treat to enjoy some of your humor and watch you talk with your hands.  Never worked together as partners but was good to see your smiling face from time to time.  Good to have you as a member for the "S.L.I.M." group leaving October 1992.  Save a space for all of us up there.

I’m so thankful for getting the opportunity to become part of your wonderful family. You were such a funny and loving person and Liam loved getting the time he had with his great grandpa. Thank you for all the kind words and stories you give to us. You are truly loved and missed. 

Bill was a highly valued friend and member of Tucson’s Chapter and Arizona District of the Gold Wing Road Riders Association.  We started missing him and Christine as soon as their attendance at  GW activities began to dwindle.  

Bill bought his first bike in June 1961 – it was BMW, his first of four BMWs!  In September 2005 he purchased a GL1800 metallic blue trike and  joined GWRRA in December 2005. Bill retired in June 16, 2006 and dedicated more time with both immediate family and extended (GWRRA) family. He  attended his first Chapter A meeting in May 2006, when invited by our then chapter director, Pablo Alonzo. Bill’s passion was children, and he had been the Tucson Chapter’s Fund-Raising Coordinator for Ride For Kids for quite some time. In addition to being one of our Assistant Chapter Directors, Bill was the Chapter Individual Of the Year, District Individual Of the Year,  and on to Region F’s Individual Of the Year. Bill was also very involved in the GWRRA Rider Education Program.

Bill also rode with the American Legion, Blue Knight (Law Enforcement riders), Patriot Guard and Tucson Rodeo Parade Committee.

A memorial patch will add Bill’s name to our chapter banner. He will be missed but not forgotten.

Bill, you and I were the first Officers in 1973  to  work   The SCRIPT SQUAD . We sure had a lot of fun working together and putting Dopers in jail. You always had a funny story and jokes. You were also a good Highway Patrolman in Benson. Bill I am sure we will meet again in a better place, God has promised us this will happen.

Bill, While only knowing you for a few years at DPS, I observed a kind and supportive person. I am glad one of your last investigations prior to your retirement was extremely successful. Your discussions about your family were always positive and I knew they were the most important aspect of your life. Rest in Peace and know that your “Dash” had an impact on many. 

Mr. Bill, you are the BEST.  During the years at DPS when we worked together you were so supportive and encouraging.  A kind gentleman, stable, and good friend when I needed one!!! My blessing upon you, may the LORD bless and keep you.  Christine,  you saved him and by so doing saved many others through this great guy. Remember you always.  

Grey wolf you will be missed.  My heart is with your family in this time of need.  Bill always said yes, when asked.  You will be missed, be the ride captain, as you always were.

Bill, you and I have been friends and brothers of the badge for over 50 years, roommates in the Arizona Highway Patrol Academy,  and shared many of the same experiences over the years. Your sense of humor kept many of your classmates in stitches in the academy and in the years after.  I will miss you my friend, and will see you on the other side.

Our parents abandoned us when I was four years old. Bill was twelve at the time my sister Sharen was seven years old. Bill took care of us for a month until the  landlord came to collect the rent and no parents were around. Bill fed me oatmeal and butter and sugar sandwiches and kept us alive. He has always been my HERO and I will miss him greatly. we spent the rest of our youth years in an orphanage in Gilroy California where Bill continued to protect me.  My sister Sharen passed away in late January of this year and now Bill has passed away in March.  I was with Bill his last week of his life and I am  so grateful for being with him. I have gone from the baby of the family to the oldest in a very short time. My parents continued to have kids even after  leaving us. My brother Richard and sister Catherine will now be  protected by me as per Bills request.  I Love Ya Bill

Bill, I will never be able to look at eggs or ducks again without thinking about you.  You are one of my favorite brother-in-laws, and definitely an original!  

My friend and Brother American Legion Rider and Parade Committee Member. We have had many great times together, at work and at play. What a RIDE! Whether riding our Trikes to the White Mountains or going to Globe, Sierra Vista or Tombstone for lunch, to my riding "shotgun" as we hauled parade equipment to out of town parades - not to mention the antics of the ride outs! Some very cherished memories. Will miss you my friend.    " TRADITION "
