William Howard Elliott passed away peacefully in Tucson, Arizona on November 30, 2024, just one day shy of his 92nd birthday. Bill was born in Winkleman, Arizona and earned a bachelor’s degree in engineering from the University of Arizona in 1952 at the age of twenty. Bill spent his long and remarkable career as a Registered Professional Engineer working on mining and other projects located around the world. Known as an "engineer's engineer," he earned the respect and admiration of colleagues and clients alike through his dedication, expertise and innovation.
Bill’s passion for designing and building things was surpassed by his devotion to serving the Lord, and by his knowledge and love of God’s word and His people. He was truly a man “in whom there was no guile.”
He is survived by his wife of 64 years Carolyn (Owen), brother Fred, son Howard, daughter Carol, eight grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and other extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents Howard and Mary (Lattin) Elliott and sisters Phoebe and Elizabeth.
Bill will be ever so missed and will be warmly remembered by all who knew him for his humility, wit, sense of humor, kindness, and service to others.
A memorial service in his honor will be held at the South Lawn Cemetery Chapel in Tucson, Arizona on December 17 at 1:00 p.m.
