He was proceeded in death by his wife, mother and father, three brothers, and his granddaughter. He is survived by his only child, Kim Ehlinger, of Michigan, two grandsons and five great grandchildren.
Wilbur,Jay, was a lifelong educator. During the summers, he built homes for his family, other friends and lastly, an apartment building. He enjoyed flying private aircraft. In retirement, he moved from Ohio to Tucson. He taught woodworking classes and did volunteer work for the county, helping seniors with their income tax forms. He had been married for 64 years until his wife, Gloria, died in 2015.
Family and friends are encouraged to participate in their own private ways to celebrate their memories of him.
