Wallace N Rivers

Wallace N. Rivers 12/17/1918 - 2/15/2012 Survived by sons, David, Paul, Michael and Christopher. Rita, his wife of 62 years and son Dennis, predeceased him. Enlisted in the Navy for World War II serving numerous missions throughout the Pacific. He graduated from Purdue University as an electrician's mate 3rd class. Wallace was a life member of the VFW. Moved to Tucson in 1952 and went to work at Hughes Aircraft for 32 years. Wallace kept busy the next 56 years with Sunnyside Little League in many capacities of assistance. Wallace also found time to head up the St. Vincent De Paul for eight years and remained involved for decades at St. Monica's Church. Visitation will be held at FUNERARIA DEL ANGEL SOUTH LAWN on Wednesday, February 22, 2012 from 5:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. rosary. Funeral Service Thursday, at 10:00 a.m. February 23, 2012 at St. Monica's 212 W Medina. Interment to follow in the Veteran's Section of South Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Vincent De Paul of St. Monica's 212 W. Medina, Tucson, AZ 85756. Hospice care provided by the VA is greatly appreciated by the family.
